My Fix for Configuration of SharePoint Products and Technologies failed

Ok, so I was installing WSS 2007 (3.0) over top of my WSS 2.0 installation. But everytime I ran the "SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard", I would get errors about 'Prescan' - specifically, "Microsoft.SharePoint.PostSetupConfiguration.PostSetupConfigurationTaskException was thrown"

Anyways, had a brief brainstorm and tried running PreScan independent of the Sharepoint Wizard (nothing in the setup suggested this sadly). I ran:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\BIN\PRESCAN.EXE /ALL

And voila, I was then able to run the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard again, this time without error.
